American Update #7 - NEW ORLEANS

Wow… what a place. I’m not sure where to start. Anybody that gets half a chance to come here should definitely go out of their way to make it happen.

This American city is definitely my favourite so far. What Atlanta lacked in a bit of life, New Orleans…

Stephen’s is one of my favourite blogs to read so here’s a little recommendation. He’s a Photographer in Glasgow and takes pictures at a club called ‘The Cathouse’ (or Catty!), a place I regularly end up in when visiting my friends across the border.

For a photographer like myself just getting started with a keen eye for gig photography, I love looking at his nightclub portraits capturing enigmatic faces and interesting lighting.

Lately he’s been travelling round the U.S. and I’ve enjoyed a good half hour or so catching up on his blog and reading what he’s been up to the last few weeks in his visits to New Orleans, Nashville and Atlanta. His stories make me very jealous and make me want to plan my own excursions abroad with a camera in tow. Maybe one day, eh?
